Professional Experience

Meera Singh is a visionary artist celebrated for her innovative approach to fused glass art, expertly merging the realms of glass and painting. With a profound appreciation for vibrant colors and organic forms, Meera crafts stunning pieces that transform light into a captivating experience. Her painterly technique adds unique depth to each work, inviting viewers to delve into the interplay of transparency and translucency. In her recent glass portrait series, she seeks to capture the essence of the individuals behind the images.

Meera has explored various themes in her art, including notable series such as “War on War” and “Wonder Woman,” which deeply engage with the human condition.

She earned her BFA from Parsons School of Design in 1985. Her work has been featured in juried exhibitions by prestigious organizations, including the Glass Art Society, Palm Springs Desert Museum, Warm Glass Show, E-Merge, and Pilchuck, and is held in numerous private collections. Based in New Jersey, Meera has exhibited her work in various galleries, earning recognition for her significant contributions to contemporary glass art. She continues to push the boundaries of her medium, inspiring others with her distinctive creativity and passion for artistic expression.

Founded my glass studio for fusing, slumping, and working with glass and found objects to create fused glass artwork.

Inc Design May 1998 – 2007

Founding Partner & Chief Creative Director for 19 years. Established design consultancy specializing in corporate literature with emphasis on annual report design. By combining creative skills with strategic planning efforts, I built the company into a highly successful and widely recognized branding design firm, servicing the international corporate communications needs for the Fortune 500 community. Other key areas of specialization are corporate branding programs, advertising, and web design.

I was responsible for interfacing with CEO’s and senior management at Fortune 500 compnaies, at articulate and visualize their strategy in an annual report. I created work plans, positioning statements and messaging content for the promotional literature. I developed long term account relationships with companies such as Merck & Co., Inc (9 years), Amerada Hess (18 years), Alliance Capital (8 years), ALPharms (9 years), Ashland (9 years), Commonwealth Telephone (7 years), ARAMARK (10 years), Pall Corp (10 years), Transatlantic Holdings (8 years), Stolt Nielsen (11 years), and UST (10 years), among many others throughout a distinguished nineteen year track record.

I recruited, supervised, and managed creative staff consisting of 15-20 designers and project managers. I have delivered keynote speeches and lectures at various trade conferences and symposiums on subjects pertaining to design for corporate and investor communications. I taught classes at Parsons School of Design and judged many award competitions.

Corporate Graphics International 1985 – 1988

Senior Designer responsible for overseeing branding and positioning for corporate communications projects which included annual reports, corporate identity, and collateral materials. I was promoted to Senior Designer within one year of joining the company. Clients included Amerada Hess, Pfizer, Turner, H.J. Heinz.

NON-PROFIT EXPERIENCE

Somerset Hills Education Foundation 2002 – 2011

The foundation raises money for innovative educational programs for the Somerset Hills School District. As a board member and one of the co-founders of the annual Chili Cook-Off we helped to start a tradition that raises money with a fun all inclusive event. The third Chili Cook-Off raised $ 50,000 for the school district.
